It requires two shots for the varicella and I only had one shot and the form requires vaccination only for the HIB, not titer.

@flylikeabird I did the titers and I the antibodies are present in my blood for both so I did not need the vaccines. If you notice on the form it says lab report attached Y or N, that is for the titers. I turned in all my papers today and she said the titers works in place of the vaccines so long as there are antibodies present in a certain amount. If you need the vaccine I suggest the take care clinic at Wal-greens they have everything you need, and I am pretty sure they have the miningococcal vaccine as well.

well for the chicken pox, my family physician told me it is better to get one more and compelete two shots of chicken pox vaccines,, and for the hib, I have to get the vaccine since I never had one.

hum.. I don't know if you guys already know, but you should call you LSC campus and ask if you need the meningitis vaccine. I know we (current nursing students need it) at Cy-Fair. Also don't buy a expensive BP cuff. get a cheapo.

At sometime in my life I had to have received the vaccine for HIb because when I did the titer I had the antibodies present in my blood. As for the chicken pox, I had them when I was 8 years old. One of our neighbor's children had come down with the chicken pox and all the other kids on the block got to spend the night at their house so we all share the chicken pox, it was a chicken pox party...

@Thangbom thanks for the info. When I was there today to submit my paperwork I asked about the meningitis vaccine and since I am over 30 years old I do not need it. I was told that only if you are under 30 and haven't ever had one. I agree with not buying an expensive BP cuff, those things often disappear and you never see them again.

Has anyone else been able to access the facebook page for Cy-fair? I noticed that there is still only two members and it says that my request is sent so I can't send another one, but I still have not been accepted.

Me three, just waiting. I think we should email the administrator of the page. I think I saw that she was not being notified of when ppl were requesting to join. I am going to try to send her a message.

Wow, what do you think we should do about the facebook page? I don't think she has been on here or on facebook in a while because I sent my request to join a week ago

We could wait, maybe she has been really busy like the rest of us. Or we could start a new one, but that would create a kind of akward situation don't ya think. I am down for whatever. So if you want to wait or start a new group it is up to who every wants to decide.
