Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

Do vaccinations have to be completed by the deadline or is it okay if they are done before school starts? For cy-fair our deadline is the 6th of December but I will not be able to get my third HEP B shot until January.

I think that is a good question for K.A. I sure do hope that they won't hold you back because of a couple of weeks.

Actually they're saying vaccines have to be done. Look up places that do a fast track vaccine. They have them for ppl who travel last minute......cyfair may make an exception bc clinicals don't start first semester but it has to be done for kingwood.

I needed my 3 shot as well back in August but they refused to give it to me because I appearently had one back in 1998 plus the two I already had this year.....So I just did a titer and I was immune....U can give doing a titer a shot....

Can someone tell me where I can get my CPR card, and the pricing that ya paid for it?? I would appreciate it.

I did mine at the atascocita volunteer fire department it was 40 bucks.....BUT they just now mailed me the card today because they said they were out and I took the class on Oct. 18th....Which can mean that they finally have cards available but I would make sure before I take the course there

Who is excited??? Because I am.....It took forever for orientation to come once acceptance letter were mailed out but now time is just flying by....I can not believe December 2 is just a few weeks away......

Yea if you can find old shot records or know that you have had them just do a titer or provide proof and just get the fourth vaccine that they require.

Registration is done for you by the dept, unfortunately that means you won't receive your schedule until almost right before the semester begins.

Can anyone tell me what the courses are for the first semester at CyFair. According to what I looked at, due to having all prerequisites, I only have one 1 hour credit nursing course. ???

What do I do if someones blue card with their name but my address has come to my house? I'm not sure how bc I have not even requested a background check yet. I am a CNA so that may be how they have my info but I don't want to be the reason someone doesn't get in!
