lonestar nursing 2014 hopeful

Published

Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

CyFair letters have been sent at 0930 on 27 September 2013. I was accepted with an 11.62.

My LVN professors knew but had to withhold informing me because it is outside their professional scope; I received my letter today while in clinicals and my professor was with me and was a bit sad but happy for me that I'm switching roles come January.

I am however not going to withdraw from the LVN courses, the credits do not transfer at all, but the semester is already paid for and the experience itself between the simulation lab, and the clinical rotations are all valuable that I can and will take with me.

Best of luck to everyone else getting their acceptance letters, for CyFair, will see you in January.

nice to meet you Alexa, my name is Jennifer. I have read the attachments over and over that they sent with the acceptance letters but none of the information was being processed in my head( just been too excited I guess). They said we need to be at the college on oct 8 or 10 for something and it's mandatory. It did not say what it was however. hmmmm..... I need to take my cpr class as well and have no idea where to go. RNSG 1105 I think is pharmacology

RNSG 1105 is Nursing Skills

RNSG 1301 is Pharmacology

Good so we can see who gets in

I'm excited to hear everyone get the good news!!!

I'm so happy just got the acceptance for cy-fair looking forward to seeing new faces on here

I have not received an email? Am I checking the wrong one?

Don't count yourself out; a friend of mine was an alternate for LVN and she started on Day 1.

Well that keeps me hopeful!!! :) Congratulations to everyone on their acceptance!!

amberly, echo5ivedelta is right do not count yourself out.....you have no idea what the other applicants are doing. They could of applied to other schools and sometimes things do not work out for them. Financials is one of them.....I would call over the next week and try to find out what number you are on the alternate list.

Congrats Warren and Amberly

Not to mention, dual enrollment students who got accepted to both CyFair and Kingwood; they obviously can't attend both, so when they pick one, the other school bumps their list.

Accepted! Can't wait to meet all my cy fair people! Congrats to everyone!
