Lonestar 2015 fall hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for the fall yet? I'm studying for my HESI and will be applying soon!

Hey everybody! I just turned in my application today at North Harris with a score of 7.15...now time to play the waiting game! Ugh! Can it be April already? I'm so anxious!

What is the passing hesi score with lone star?

You must make a 75 on every section and overall.

In every section? So lone star counts A&p, bio, and chemistry? Wow

I believe you need to have at least 75 on each section

You don't need biology and chemistry on the HESI, just A&P

Lonestar only requires you to take five sections-- grammar, vocab, reading comprehension, math, and anatomy

Specializes in MedSurg and Pediatrics.

I applied with a score of 7.1 my first choice is Tomball, second choice North Harris and Cy-Fair is my third choice. I also applied for the LVN program as a backup with a score of 7.4. Good luck everyone.

When I turned in my application to NH the director told me to call her if I don't hear anything by mid-April. So I am hoping this means we will hear something in the next few weeks. Cy-Fair would have been my first choice if it wasn't supposed to be the hardest to get into. At this point I am willing to go to any location... good luck everyone.

No, the sections that are taken during the HESI are reading comprehension, vocab, grammar, a&p and math. You must get a 75 or above on all sections. Lonestar looks at your English composite score, which is all 3 English sections added together and divided by 3. Then, to get the score for the point system... You divide that average score by 4.

I thought Montgomery was the hardest to get into?

Has anyone had to do a DO yet? I had an MIP when I was 16 and I am wondering if I have to do one. I think I might but I dont remember the county I was in when I got it (was driving from Austin to A&M) in order to get the records...
