Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for the fall yet? I'm studying for my HESI and will be applying soon!
Hi all.
I know this thread is not as busy as threads like this tend to be, but I was hoping we could steal an idea they had last year and keep a running list of our score, where we're applying, and if we got in.
I turned in my application last Monday. I have a score of 7.664. I am applying to Montgomery, Tomball, NH, and Cy-Fair. I don't actually want to attend CF; I'd rather attend Kingwood, but their application is not open until the summer.
This is the list I have so far:
Audrey4 7.3 NH
bnmatlock 7.05
chinkle24 7.04 M
Desire7476 6.56 NH
maysoto 7.4 M, T, NH
penny reverential 7.664 M, T, NH, CF
Teri123 7.664 M
Hoping the quietness around these parts are an indication that the pool is pretty small, even though that would be surprising if so!
I will be at Montgomery's information session next Tuesday.
Good luck to everyone!
That's a great idea Penny! I am really nervous, and the fact that my score is lower than most others makes me hope that I at least get into my second choice, which is North Harris. I didn't think my score was going to be so low, I made a 90.4 on the Hesi, and an A in English, and a B in a&p. But hopefully it's good enough to get me in. Good luck to all of you applying!! Also, I will be going to the nursing program information meeting on Tuesday as well.
I don't know, but it seems like there aren't as many people applying this time. I heard that Cyfair is harder to get into because they accept less people, and that North Harris is one of the easier ones, and they accept about 100. I bet you'll get in somewhere. I applied today also, my score was 7.04, very close to yours. My first choice is Montgomery, and my second is North Harris. Either one is fine with me!! Let's keep our fingers crossed! The lady that submitted my application told me to try not to think about it for a month. Ya right!!! I wonder when we will hear something!!??
Yes, this is the first year for the 8 point system. All you need to do to compare to the old 12 is add 4 points to your score since most people got a 4 in the other section. As far as getting in with a score below 7. You just never know. It really just depends on the pool of applicants this year. There have been years where the lowest has been 7.5 and others where 6.5 got in. I have heard contradicting info on when we will get sent out letters. One lady said in two weeks while another said end of April. At least it's only a month. Good luck everyone!
