Hello everybody. I am a pre-nursing student at Lonestar college and I was planning on taking the Hesi test Monday. I will be applying to North Harris as my first choice and Montgomery as my second choice. So far I have 8 points out of the 12 point scale and once I take the Hesi, that will determine if I will be accepted or not. I am currently taking Pharmacology. I have a 3.5 GPA and I have taken all my pre-req's plus some. The only part of the HESI Exam I am worried about is the A&P section. I hear all kinds of reviews on it and I am extremely nervous. If anybody can shed some light on this section of the HESI, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm hoping I can get my application in tomorrow! I finally got my shot records and my husband left them in his truck and took them to work today :-/. Hepatitis B is a one time vaccine, right? I got it about 10 years ago...just making sure it's not one they want you to repeat or I'll have to squeeze myself into a clinic tomorrow morning!
Hep b is a three series vaccine. If you have received it already, you have no problem. I received it years ago, but spent half my childhood in foster care so I've never had any shot records in my possession. If you haven't received it, time is of the essence!!! Don't go to walgreens or somewhere like that. They want 144 dollars a shot. I went to a public health clinic and, depending on your family size and income, you can get it free of charge
Awesome. I had to get the vaccine before I started high school, so I'm definitely long done with the series! Just wanted to make sure they weren't wanting some sort of booster or something. But application has been submitted! Now we wait...until late March/early April, I was told. Hoping for March and hoping we all get letters of acceptance! :-D
Thanks MCKELLEY44!!!! I think you should take it in person just incase you don't understand something, you can get help right then and there. It's not hard at all. Just alot of memorization, understanding and making it stick with you. I have a wonderful professor and plus the Pharmacology for Nursing Care book is great too. The author is very easy to understand. I highly recommend you take it in person. Good Luck!!!
