Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

Published

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

Good luck to all applying:)

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted so far!! For those who have not received their acceptance letters yet, don't give up hope!! I just requested to join the group also!! I see that there are some people from Conroe that got accepted and I am from Willis. Is there anyone on here from Willis or a little north of Willis?

Trying to add u from my iphone, ugh!! Lol I am about to be home and i will accept ur request. If not, Peyton might beat me to it :-) Congrats and welcome!!!!!!

I used to live in Huntsville for shsu lol.

im in the humble 1960/59 area and was considering car pooling but im stoked about the new facility's parking garage. as ads85 had said, no more horrible north harris parking

For the CPR...I grabbed a Continuing Education booklet from the college and these are the classes available

LSC-Conroe on 4/8, LSC-Cyfair 5/8, LSC-Kingwood 4/9 & 5/14, LSC-North Harris 4/23 & 5/14, LSC-Tomball 4/30. The class is: CPR for the Health Care Provider and meets requirements of the American Heart Association.

I thought so too, but it said 4 semesters of fall/spring fall/spring on the website.. where'd you hear this from??

I applied with an 11.65 cyfair first option an Tomball 2nd. I know letters went out yesterday for cyfair, but if I was accepted into cyfair does Tomball still send a letter? I've seen many Tomball people got letters and I've not gotten one so was just wondering does that mean I've been accepted to my first choice campus. Hate the waiting.

I called today and they said cyfair letters went out yesterday.

Ok....so I am a bit worried. My first choice was Tomball and I got my letter today as an alternate :crying2:. Does anyone know my chances of getting accepted? How many alternates do they have? My second choice was Montgomery and then North Harris...will I get letters from them as well?

What was your score?

Hi Karron! Hi Angel! I would join a FB page for us nursing students!

Karron- that HESI sure was somethin else. I took it 3 times. the a&p section is what kept getting me. I would make a 72 on that section and it would crush me bc when I averaged out the worth of each question, if I had gotten just 1 more question correct, I would have passed that section. But you know what, God has a plan for me and it obviously didn't include me going to a different school.

tsheen- I haven't seen anyone post anything about Cyfair either. Maybe they haven't mailed their letters out yet?

Well you're in now Nicole and all the stress of the freaking HESI is behind us :yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:

Suspense is KILLING me!! I applied to NH with an 11.35, so I'm assuming I got in, but still no letter!! WTHeck! I saw that two of you got acceptance letters that live out on Lake Conroe, and I live in Conroe, so I'm really confused now!?!?! Not good on the nerves knowing that other people have letters and I have to wait yet another day (at least!)

If you look at the old thread for last years applicants there was a few who got there letters a lot later than most, so hang in there.:loveya: It's just issues at the damn post office!

Congrats to everyone... I am so excited.. I can't

Wait to meet you guys.. I'm going to the June 8

Orientation.. I will hv my name tag on with my

Screen name... LOL

That's an awesome idea whoever had it!! I am pretty brave but I know I will get asked why mine has "TxDiscoDiva" on it?!
