Anyone out there applying to Lone Star Tomball LVN program? Any advice from past or present students?
I will be applying in late August/1st week of September and would love to chat with other hopefuls. :)
There are a few things to complete along with the letter. The letter of intent needs returned by October 21. Criminal background and fingerprinting needs completed as soon as you accept so you will have time to get it before Dec. 14th. Attend the orienation on Nov 18th, CPR and imunizations finished so everything is complete by Dec. 14. It is a little disturbing we need to meet so many deadlines and they didnt honor the only one they had posted. Dealines are not a problem to meet but I would expect the same in return especially from an institution of higher education (or at least a courtesy email would've been nice).
I did not receive any mail today. The mail lady was sorting the mail as I went down there and she did not have anything for me at all whatsoever. I will have to wait until next week for the letter. My score was so low I don't think I will make it in, I had 7.0444. At least I turned in all the required paperwork for the alternate position at Cy-fair for the ADN program yesterday.
I agree, if you have a deadline posted then stick to it especially if you require others to follow one. What kind of example is set when they are not following what they have posted, but yet if you do not follow their deadline you are disqualified from their program. The sign is in...beware of the wishy-washy....this experience scares me away from their program in a way.

To me it doesn't matter if they wait until the end of Oct. to send them out. I just would like to know so I can either enroll in classes for the spring semester or am I going to be in the program. So I guess what I am saying is I hope it is before November 9 that we are notified because I hate waiting to enroll in classes and getting stuck with a bad schedule.
I kind of would like one more semester to work on general classes. I would like to take college algebra, govt I, hist 2 and chem 1405. That way I would only have statistics and govt 2 to take after getting my RN license (that's my goal) and I would be eligible enter a BSN program. I would be so close at that point, but then again I might need a semester off so I don't hit burn out.
