Anyone out there applying to Lone Star Tomball LVN program? Any advice from past or present students?
I will be applying in late August/1st week of September and would love to chat with other hopefuls. :)
I took the Hesi today and it wasnt too bad. I'm not even sure you could study for the A&P part. It was so random and I dont think I had anything that was obvious. I did have A&P I and II but I really had to think about some of the questions. My scores were: English Comp Score 94.61% A&P 92% Math 100% (know, know, know how to figure ratios and proportions)! overall 95.17% and it took me 2 hours.I was so stressed about this test because I didnt know exactly what to study but overall it wasnt that bad.
How did you do in your A&P classes?
Did you have an "A" for your application? If you did, I can tell you right now, without a doubt, that with that and your HESI scores, your in.
You did exceptionally well on the HESI.
Yes, I have an A in AP I and II. I hope I didn't make a mistake applying to Tomball (they seem a bit disorganized moving to their new building). If I don't get in I will apply to the RN program. This semester gave me the last of the classes I needed and I already have all my immunizations and everything. I should have an RN score of 11.7844.

You will get in to either program, with either score. If I'm lyin, I'm dyin! Lol...those are outstanding!
I applied to the ADN program at Cy-fair and I received a letter in the mail on Friday telling me I am an alternate. I have also applied to the LVN program at Tomball but have not received anything regarding their program. I am hoping for a sure answer from Tomball so I know what to do next. Just looking at this blog it does not seem like there are very many ppl applying to Tomball so hopefully that means there are not many competitors and everyone who applied will get in.
