From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.
The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.
I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?
If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)

I saw on the online study group a girl went to the nursing info and they told her to retake it because she had a 67 even though her average English score was 84.

Required HESI Scores:
A. In order to apply for any LSC A.D.N. program, the student must attain a minimum score of 75 (750 for Critical Thinking) on EACH section of the HESI exam.
that means you need a minimum of 75 on each section of the hesi plus a minimum 750 on critical thinking
I had a great overall score 82 for reading though it was only that sub section

You should be fine. It’s 75 overall on the English portion

I have another question, do we need to get all of our shots before starting the program or during? I recently did my titer for hep B and I was positive but I haven’t started the other shots yet
It is not 75 overall for English. It is 75 for grammar, 75 for vocabulary, 75 for math, 75 for AP and 75 for reading. Do yourself a favor and visit an information session and make sure that you speak with the nursing advisor not the regular advisor. Also visit the website and read the information that is there.

What is a subsection? lol
And you have to have immunity to Hep B in order to apply for the program. Once you get accepted, they give you a deadline to get the rest of the results.

Like how the reading is divided into 3 sections ,
The implication section was 69 but the other two was 80 each so it averaged to be 82 overall for reading

Based on what you responded to @canickell11 you do not need to retake the hesi. Because your score for reading is good.
you let it seem as if you got a 69 for a subject area.
