Lone Star Spring 2020 ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.

The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.

I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?

If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)

I’m looking forward to Friday bc I have a feeling we will know by then. I hope a 7.52 will be enough to get accepted.

Atleast you have a chance

I'm old ? my chance window is small!!!!

And yes...... If it doesn't come Friday.... I will be HIGHLY disappointed!! I am stress eating chocolate!!!

I'm not in MorphoTrust....... someone with higher than 7.584 might see if they are lol......

New/Accepted Student Criminal Background Check Process

Step One:
The Texas based nursing program submits the New/Accepted Student Roster to the BON.

Step Two:
BON staff enters the data into our internal fingerprint database. This step is what adds them to the list with MorphoTrust.

Step Three:
BON staff sends an email to the designated contact at the school advising that the roster has been entered into our system.

Step Four:
The school provides the Service Code Form (Formerly known as a Fast Pass) to the students listed on the roster and advises them to schedule their fingerprinting.

Step Five:
The BON receives information from The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding the criminal background check (CBC) results and staff inputs this data within ten business days.

Step Six:

Effective 9/24/17, the BON no longer issues End of Month Reports: an email was sent to the Deans and Directors of the nursing programs in this regard.

How did you see the list??

That’s my question too. How did you see the list

I didn't......... I just acted like I was scheduling my fingerprints with MorphoTrust and it said they didn't know who I was.....

Hello All! New to this forum. I had a 7.504 on my scoring sheet, which is the same score for LVN and ADN. I applied to LVN Tomball as my backup and already got accepted. I already turned in my acceptance letter to the Director at Tomball Nursing, as she said if I do get accepted to CF/Kingwood for ADN, which I also applied for, she advised I could just email her and she will fill my spot with an alternate on the LVN Tomball list. Im not too sure what the cutoff is for CF or Kingwood for ADN but I was reading the forum for Fall 2019 applicants and someone with a 7.5 got accepted to CF, which is my first choice, so im keeping my fingers crossed! Hope this helps!
