From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.
The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.
I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?
If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)

But got an alternate spot for the LVN. I hope with all the money I have to spend on all the tests and paperwork for an alternate spot I get in. I would really hate to spend that money just to not get in.
What was your score when you applied?

I sumbitted my letter of intent in person to Catherine Gray herself and reconfirmed that if i get in the ADN program to just email her and she said yes just email her and she will fill the spot! Since the letter on intent is due August 30, I wanted to make sure I have a spot in the LVN program in case I dont get into the ADN program.
Hi, can I ask when you received your email from Tomball? I also applied for Tomball's LVN program but I still haven't heard anything from them either way.

Im not too sure which days they are on but I do know Kingwood offers night classes as well as day classes and they offer clinicals on Saturdays! I know daycare sucks I have a 5 year old girl but she just started Kindergarten so im only having to pay for before and after school which isnt that much. It will be when I quit working to do the nursing program tho! lol

Oh that’s nice! Congrats on her starting kinder! How were her first few days? I didn’t even think about before/after school care ? but shoot anything is better than 900/1000 a month for daycare. I’m hoping we can get away with just part-time care but that all depends on if classes fall on mwf ? night classes would be ideal but the timing just doesn’t work for us ☹️ My bf works off I10 in Houston and doesn’t get home til like 630/7 ?

Montgomery is 4 days a week and assigned clinical day and location. Some classes are Monday and Tuesday. Another may be Tuesday and Thursday. The nursing program is going to be completely different from what you’re used to.
