Lone Star Spring 2020 ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.

The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.

I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?

If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)

In the past, people usually start Facebook groups based on the people select by Campus. For example, LoneStar Kingwood 2020 RN Program or LoneStar CyFair 2020 RN Program.

So I got an email from the Nursing Department earlier today. Apparently my social security number couldn't be found on my Lone Star account and telling me I have to visit the student services to get it added on by August 20th at 2pm. I know this is probably of no interest to anyone but she did say she needed it by that date because she was attempting to send a roster to the Texas Board of Nursing by then.

I also applied last semester for the fall and not one person contacted me then during the application process until I got the email telling me I was denied. So I'm thinking my score was too low last year that they didn't bother looking further at my application or else someone would have brought this to my attention then that my social was no where on file. I ended up retaking English and my score is better now.

What I'm trying to get at is they must have the final roster chosen already and we should be finding out sometime this week. At least that's my hope.

I guess more of a support group period. Like here. Some already took classes others didnt and it helps to have input from those who have been there. So for this following week or 2, we can encourage each other. Those who dont get accepted can decide if they stay to request input of what to expect.

Last fall it was a 7.2 or something. Now it's a 7.6.
