Hey everyone, non nursing but lone star pre-requisite question. So whether I get in to ASN 2020 or not, I still need to take some classes fall 2019 to eat up some of those core credits needed for my BSN. My classes needed vs taken:
Communication 6 hours: Need ENGL 1301 and 3 hours of speech/Taken 1301 (need a speech- which one)
Mathematics 6 hours: I took math in Colorado but it only transferred as general credits, do I need to retake them or what? Anyways it says I need 6 hours (3 of which have to be stats for BSN, so what do I do for the other 3)
Life and Physical Sciences 16 hours: I have taken BIOL 1406,2401,2402,2421 (17 hours) and I am registered for CHEM 1405 in fall 2019 BUT I have gotten a "requirement designation" alert saying "30 Life & Physical Sciences - C1". None of the advisers can tell me what it is except saying it has a prerequisite.... which freaking one? I have more science credits than most people taking chem so what could possibly be needed?
Creative Arts 3 hours: Lord help me, I am not at all interested in art, dance, drama, or music. No BS what is the easiest one to BS my way through? Why is this even a requirement?!?!?!
Language, Philosophy, Culture 3 hours: I registered for HUMA 2319 and get another error message saying requirement designation "40 Lang, Phil & Cult - C1". Once again I can't get a straight answer...what do I do?
History-done, Government- done, Social/behavioral science- done
Component Area Option 4 hours: So I have an option to take these or not?
Sorry this is so long, but I am hoping someone has gotten further than me and can answer these questions because I have emailed and called each location and have gone to CyFair in person and NO ONE can give me a straight answer. In case this is all too confusing I have attached a color coordinated chart with all options.
Black is the section, dark blue are the classes available, green is what i have already taken, red is finished with section, blue is what is am enrolled in currently or thinking of taking.... HELP PLEASE
