Lone Star Fall 2020

Published

It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.

I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).

Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

Oh that’s a wonderful score! I don’t see why you won’t get accepted to Cyfair!

I’m sure this question has been asked a bazillion times but I will ask it again...... Is anyone else scared of what is in store going into any of the nursing programs? I am beyond afraid thinking that I may not be smart enough to get through it. I have been looking at the class load and am can only ponder the thought of that many classes in such a short time.

I took the HESI yesterday so now my score is 7.64. My first choice is north harris.?

Hi there!

I'm taking the HESI in April, I'm kinda stressing over it. How many questions are in each section and what can I expect from it? My major concern is math. Thanks!

The only thing I’m worried about is being able to read all the chapters in a timely matter because I am a very slow reader. I wouldn’t consider myself “smart” either but I’d like to be some day. I’m also not good with time management and I think that’s one of things I will have to master to succeed in nursing school from what I hear. Don’t be scared okay I think anyone has the ability to get through it as long as you try

Thank you! I honestly used a couple of books to freshen up on math and the other subjects. I had to retake it a few times because of Anatomy & Physiology. I’m not sure where you are in Houston, but you are more than welcome to the books I have.

Trust me you’re not the only one! It’s a learning process and like many say “study smart not long”! Find out your best way to study! Are you visual? Tactile? Auditory? Mixture? It’s doable! Just do a little at a time!
