It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.
I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).
Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

I'm new to allnurses and after looking through older forums I'm a little concerned my scores are not high enough to be accepted into my first choice; Montgomery. The only reasons this is my first choice is 1) location and 2) childcare.
I wanted to take the HESI in January but had to reschedule and now I don't have enough time to retest.
I have A's in my prerequisites and I made a 92 cumulative on my HESI with a 970 in critical thinking.
My score according to my score card is 7.68.
Honestly, is this enough? It's so competitive!! I went to the nursing information session and they made it seem like a 95+ on the HESI is what you need to get into Montgomery. ?
Yes, each year gets more and more competitive! You have a great score and I'm sure you'll have no problem getting accepted into your second choice, if not your first. I too would like to get into the Montgomery campus. But I'm afraid my score isn't going to make the cut this round considering how high the scores are this application period.

I think it's crazy how it continues to get more and more competitive. Next year the minimum score requirements are changing from 75 to 80 for each section. Making it impossible to get in with anything less than a 95+ the pressure is intense for sure. And thank you for your encouragement. I still have to figure out what I'll put down for my 2nd and 3rd choices. It sucks all the other campuses are so far from me. I really hope you get accepted into your first choice. Our scores are pretty close together. ? best of luck.

Yeah, you're absolutely right; it is crazy. I think they have to cut down on the amount of applicants they're receiving because it is getting way too competitive. An 80 or above in each section will prevent a lot of people from applying. I hope we both get into our first choice; good luck to you as well!

I think that could land you a spot a NH from what I have heard. Keep your head up girl! Both programs are great opportunities
