  1. You were accepted at Cy-Fair, right?
  2. Cy-Fair emails came out about an hour ago. I was accepted.
  3. Hey! Are you referring to the fall application period? If so, Friday was the last day to take the HESI.
  4. Certain schools say you can only take the HESI twice because it’s only two versions of the exam. I don’t believe lonestar has that restriction.
  5. It’s very unfortunate. While it’s nice that some people have benefited from the extension I don’t think they realize it’s a dagger to the heart for people who are on the cusp of getting accepted to see them getting the additional advantage of resubmitting their application. Thankfully this will all be over soon and hopefully you get accepted to a program.
  6. I agree with you. Seems to me since the schools won’t be reopening, if they aren’t giving students the option to take the HESI virtually like HCC then it would make sense to just change the deadline back to the initial extension date of April 30th.
  7. I think it depends on the school. I know CyFair requires department consent. I was able to enroll in one at Tomball with no issues.
  8. I’m taking that class also. I pulled up her Spring 2020 syllabus and got the book information. You need Focus on Nursing Pharmacology by Amy Karch 8th edition and Henkie’s Med-Math 9th edition. I ordered both on amazon and got them Saturday.
  9. Based on what I’ve read HCC is not waiving the HESI requirement. They are simply allowing applicants who have not yet tested to submit applications without HESI scores until a later date. I personally think the deadline has been extended for too long but I do feel like applicants who were already scheduled to take the HESI prior to the original deadline should receive priority when the testing resumes. Having already submitted my appointment this is nerve wrecking.
  10. I emailed the department and got that information as an auto reply.
  11. Just in case this hasn’t been posted here yet. The application deadline has been extended to April 30th and the HESI deadline is April 23rd. This is for Cy-Fair for sure but I’d assume it applies for all programs.
  12. Hello. Yes, courses are offered during the Summer.
  13. Thank you! I honestly used a couple of books to freshen up on math and the other subjects. I had to retake it a few times because of Anatomy & Physiology. I’m not sure where you are in Houston, but you are more than welcome to the books I have.
  14. I have a score of 7.76. My first choice is Cy-Fair and then Tomball. Hopefully this is a good enough score to get accepted. Good luck to everyone applying!
