I applied to Lone Star - ADN program Spring 2012. I was accepted as an alternate. I am hoping to get a call from the nursing department saying there is a spot for me. If not I will be reapplying for the next application period for entrance to the program in the Fall 2012. Good luck everyone!!!!
Yay! People are starting to receive letters!! I have been anxiously awaiting. Maybe, a letter will arrive for me. My confidence in my mail carrier is very low, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! It has been driving me bananas, especially having a 3 day weekend to think about it non-stop. Congrats to all who have been accepted thus far!!
I have recieved two blue cards in the mail, but not my letter. I did my background check a month ago and then I recieved my second blue card last week. I was okay until I seen that some of the other students recieved their letters. I have a feeling its coming today and I'm going to class late just so I can check the mail. I will let you know either way if I've recieved it or not.
It's basically like a giant list of all the applicants in order of their score. They start at the top and put people in their first choice schools. When a campus fills up ( usually Moco first since it has the fewest spots) people who put them as their first choice get their second choice and so on. So when people say they picked a certain campus to increase their odds, it doesn't really work that way...when your name comes up it's based on space, not your score.
And thats why we're the first to get our letters...Montgomery has the fewest spots to fill and letters to send. So don't worry! You'll get your acceptance letter next week for sure!
@Stephalump - thank you for the clarification. I was just curious as to how it all worked. I'm really trying not to stress out but so much of the future is dependent on a "yes" or a "no". I just wish I knew which path I am going to be on. I shall try to be patient. I guess I need to start saying that everytime I get anxious.
