Okay for all of us that are waiting, this is our official I'm waiting , checking the mail daily :imbar, going crazy
, biting my nails
, at the edge of my seat
, can hardly concentrate on anything else :typing, Kingwood and Cyfair Spring 2009 awaiting thread:yeah:We still have a while to go before letters are going to be sent out but let's keep each other encouraged and cross our fingers for everyone that applies!
So who's with me? What are your points and where did you apply- Kingwood or Cyfair?
Good luck future nurses
Tee/OPink,It's 1:08 and the mailman was just here. Still nothing. Maybe it will be next week. Have I mentioned how much I hate this?
It has to be next week or I will seriously have a nervous breakdown It sucks that Cy-fair has mailed their letters out, I mean I am excited for everyone that got their letters already but I was hoping it would be around the same time for everybody. I tell you, I don't like this either. Oh well, what can you do... Let's focus on something else school related, I guess.
Rj, how are you liking Pharm. I haven't taken it yet and am scared to to say the least from stories that I have heard.
Pharm isn't bad at all. I take the hybrid class with Weaver. She's very funny and entertaining. She told us right up front that it would be difficult to fail her class. So far she's right. It is not an intense class at all. She said because were not in the nursing program yet that her goal is to just teach the basics of pharm. She said we'll get the intense stuff once we're in the program. My midterm is grade is 89 and I honestly have not studied. The hurricane really through me into funk that I can't shake. We didn't have electricty for 3 weeks and I just can't get back into my study mode. So I'm hoping that come January, I'll be ready to get serious again.
Scrubs are for clinicals at the clinical sites and for on-campus simulated clinicals. I don't lug all my books with me because I do better to listen in class than to try to follow along in a book. If you do plan to bring text books I reccomend getting a rolling backpack so you save your back!
You will have a formal orientation day at some point where they will answer all of your questions regarding which books are needed and when your first clinical will be (when you will need your uniform).
Try not to stress too much about the acceptance letter. You WILL be a nurse, you just don't know when yet.
thanks kim, i truly appreciate it and all you guys for taking this ride with me and all of us! :redpinkhe
i looked at kingwood's website for the 30th time today and this it was it said, you see how i said they keep changing-
decisions letters for adn spring 2009
all decision letters for the adn spring 2009 will be mailed out by november 4, 2008.
i know i saw that too about the all letters will be mailed out november 4th...im starting to think they will just get here whenever they get here. But, i was thinking i wonder if they sent out any acceptance letters since it says ALL will be mailed out so maybe they sent SOME already...ehhh... haha probably not It's weird i mean i'm nervous but I feel like I got in..my points were high and we haven't received a denial letter..but i just want the letter to know its OFFICAL :)
