Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!
I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol
How about yall?!
My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!
And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!
Thank you! I hope Parker has a mini session in the summer

I took Roland DeSoignie (sp?) for Intro to AP and finished with a 102 average. His class was very straightforward, no busy work or homework. Just lecture, review, memorization and ace the test.
AP1 I took Donald Parker and he is honestly the coolest teacher I have ever had. He is a former gynecologist and is hilarious. His class was FUN. He makes the material very relatable and if you put in the work, engage, participate and do what he tells you, you can make an A and enjoy doing it.
Since he didn't offer AP2, I am currently taking that with Jose Cortes and I really enjoy his class more than I expected. I heard horror stories and some of the RMP reviews had me wary, but he is definitely the best at TEACHING the material out of the three of them. He is funny. He gives a TON of extra credit. You will have some homework/busy work type assignments, but they aren't bad at all and actually do help a lot. I can tell an A in his class will not be difficult.
I would recommend any of the three.
Now if you are closer to Tomball, I would recommend taking Martha Newsome. I have heard several people rave about her. She gets excellent reviews and good grades come out of her class. I was going to take her for AP2, but switched to Cortes because of the drive.
