Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!
I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol

My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!
And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!
So for everyone who has downloaded the HESI POCKET PREP app,
how similar would you say the Actual a&p questions are? Harder? Easier? Same?
I feel the questions were very similar to what is on the test. That app was literally my Saving Grace in helping me pass the A&P portion. It helped improve my score by 20%.
Those scores are excellent. Almost identical to mine. You should do some research and consider redoing English, if you can. I was in the same boat as you, retaking it to replace a C. I took it over the summer session last year and blew through it with an easy A. It all depends on the professor. I hand pick every one of mine based on ratemyprofessor reviews and this guy was no different. Do the work and make an A, no reading, no research; it was basically a participation grade.

I'm really praying that by the Grace of God, I'm accepted to the North Harris program. If not, then I'll retake English and apply to Kingwood in July. I've utilized Rate My Professor before, but stopped for whatever crazy reason lol. I'll use that, if it comes to that.

Sounds like a reasonable plan to me! I think one way or another, you'll make it in. Your HESI scores are very good!
Hello! So are you able to apply for the ADN and the LVN simultaneously? I haven't really looked up anything LVN related. I've been looking through older threads and saw someone else had mentioned it. I'm thinking of retaking A&P I in the Summer to get the A that I need, and I still have time I suppose. I've yet to take the HESI, very apprrehensive about it!
yes you can apply for both simultaneously. that's actually what I plan to do that way (worse case) if I don't get in RN program at least I'll be in something. it's about the same amount of time as the RN as it is to do LVN and transition to RN.
