Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!
I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol
How about yall?!
My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!
And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!
also, how do you average your score, all I have are my letter grades, I don't have the actual number grade? Wonder how I can get those
I didn't get my actual scores until I applied online; the score sheet generates it for you. I forgot to mention that I already submitted my applications to North Harris and Cy-Fair.
I've taken the HESI twice now I tried last year to apply for fall 15 but the very first time I took it I missed A&P by 2% then the second time I scored and 80% on A&P. When I applied to the Spring 16 Program my score was 6.9 and I was chosen as an alternate. I think the lowest alternate that ended up getting a call had a score of 7 and that was only with CyFair and kingwood. But don't lose hope!!! I am applying to LVN also. I've learned not to put all my eggs in one basket lol I am using the CRAM app to study A&P and the HESI Assesment book!
Those scores are excellent. Almost identical to mine. You should do some research and consider redoing English, if you can. I was in the same boat as you, retaking it to replace a C. I took it over the summer session last year and blew through it with an easy A. It all depends on the professor. I hand pick every one of mine based on ratemyprofessor reviews and this guy was no different. Do the work and make an A, no reading, no research; it was basically a participation grade.
I thought it was too late to retake classes? They send acceptance letters in april so they would need the final grades before then correct? Or am i missing something..

I thought this too. Kingwood's application period for the basic track is July 5 to September 9 to start in January 2017. If you wanted to apply to that one you could retake English during the May mini or either of the summer sessions.
I most definitely would. And I would take it with the same teacher I had last summer, Philip Jones.

Do you recommend anyone for a&p? I've only taken classed at Victoria ColleGe and HCC I'm not familiar with lone star prof.
