Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough.
Hi everyone. I have spent the last few of months studying for the HESI but I am just wondering about the science portion. The review books and online practice test have A&P portions as well as Biology, Chemistry , and Physics. On the information page on the LSC HESI info pages it list only A&P. But the Kingwood page it lists Biology, Chemistry and A&P. I am so confused! Will the HESI also include all those other science subjects?? I get the Biology portion but if Chemistry isn't a pre-req for the ADN program why would we get tested on it?
Applied to Montgomery and Kingwood's LVN program. Seriously considering not putting in an application for the ADN program due to my score being so low. Stats are as follows:
LVN Score: 6.3
Hesi: 83.67
GPA: 3.0
Critical Thinking: 860
ADN Score: 5.8
GPA: 2.5-B in A&P 1 and a C in Engl 1301
Good luck to all of you! I'm mentally preparing myself to be denied from both programs. I'll be spending the summer retaking classes to raise my GPA and finishing pre-read so that I can apply to multiple schools.

You can retake them!! They will replace the old grade entirely and drop it from your GPA. I took A&P I my first semester of college and made a D (yikes), then took it again the next fall and made an A. Just make sure you print off a course repeat form and turn it into your main campus!! It's like the D never happened.
