2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls

Published

Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough. :sorry:

So exciting! I got my response the first week of October. It should be around that time.

I wish all of you the very best on getting accepted into the program, but getting in is the easiest part. Everything after that will challenge everything you once held as the truth. An eye opening experience awaits... as well as an empty wallet. It's expensive!!!!

James, I work part time at Starbucks...Hopefully I can keep my job. Perhaps working 2 days at the most?

First semester I didn't work, but glad I didn't because of the huge adjustment. I'm sure it's manageable but at first everything is very very overwhelming. Second and third semester I worked on campus 20hrs/week and always felt like I should've been studying instead but it was fine. Fourth semester didn't work at all. It's definitely manageable. One of my friends worked at Starbucks for two semester and always brought us coffee :-) just manage your time wisely and you will be fine. And you will need all the extra caffeine your body can absorb lol

lol Well coffee and I have a great relationship! I am going to attempt to keep my job around. James, you are so helpful!

It's the last day to turn in applications everyone. Are you all as anxious as I am?

Nice picture James!!!

In previous forums, the applicants recieved their acceptance/denails/alternate emails the first week of October. I hope that will be the case for us too..

Well thank you Diva385!

In your last semester the photographer on campus comes and takes professional photos of all the graduates so we can send out invitations with a nice picture. :-)

In the Spring 2016 forum, two girls got their acceptance email on September 11, 2015. So I don't know about the first week in October. Hopefully, it is that soon. I don't know if I can wait that long without losing hair from anxiety. LOL

James, when you do RN to BSN do you graduate in person?
