2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls

Published

Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough. :sorry:

If its not your hesi scores then i would email them, or even go up there. I know one girl had the same thing happen and she emailed them and they fixed it

I had the same issue. This is how u fix it AHawkins. U have to email the nursing department and tell them it is saying you do not meet the requirements even though u do. Also provide ur student ID number. They'll fix it.

I just turned in my application today. I am at 7.64. The waiting game starts as of 09/09/16. I hope I get accepted.

so today I did the application...Kingwood is my first choice so I understand I'll have to also get them a hard copy. What about Cy-Fair? How do I get my shot and app to them?

Zullyzoo... U only have to the the hard copy to ur first choice. Mine is CyFair. Kingwood is second. So i took the hard copy to cy-fair. It says it on the application also.

Hi everyone, I have been stalking this page but not commenting. LOL. My GPA score is a 3.5714 and my original HESI score was an 89%. Which made my score a low 7.13. I retook the HESI today and scored a 98% bringing my score to 7.4914. Kingwood is my first choice so I hope that is good enough! I will be turning in my application next week and I am so freaking nervous! Good Luck all of you.

Good luck to you too my dear. U killed it on that second try for the Hesi... I'm sure you will be fine.

Also, considering the face that they only want us to drop u the print out of the application at our first choice, if for some reason u are accepted at the second choice they'll transfer the info there I assume.

If you took it at lone star, it should be there by the next day.. Atleast mine was. You just have to click on the apply link, choose your program, and click on the score sheet. If your hesi info is not on there, u will have to email them.

If u took it at another school, honestly, I'm not sure. I applied at another school that wanted the score sent to them by elsevier and that can take up to 10 days. I had to pay $15 for that. Another school just had me print my results and turn it in with my application.

Yep he has it right

I just got my Hep B titer results & it states that I am inconsistent with immunity. What am I supposed to do now since getting vaccinated takes a long time? I have a 7.6 and would hate to be told that I can not apply.
