Hi all,

I wanted to start this thread for those who are looking to apply at Loma Linda for the new grad RN residency. Hope to connect with each of you soon.

Has anyone heard from them about their process? I was also invited to do the interview and completed it. I am hoping it's sufficient but 5 mins is not a long time to tell them all about you. ?

I got an in person interview request on the 10th of may (2 days after I completed the online interview) and just completed the in person interview right now. They were all super sweet! I totally forgot to ask when they’ll reach back, Have you guys heard back yet/do you know when we’re suppose to hear back?

May I ask which unit did you specify as your top choice? I got the video interview completed and waiting to hear back from the recruiter to be invited from hiring manager interview. I am getting anxious as I was told the process could take from 2-4 weeks depending on the department.

I applied for adult ICU and PICU. My top choice was adult cardiac ICU but I only interviewed for pediatric cardiac ICU. They told me they’re doing interviews today & an additional day & we’ll be notified at least by June 6th. One of the interviewers said she’ll be calling people even if they didn’t get the job (thankfully) so we’ll know for sure if we got it or didn’t get it. Best of luck!!

Just had my interview with surgical unit! It was very easy-going and comfortable. Good luck to everyone !

How long is the interview question? Is there any clinical questions?

It was 25-30 minutes, when you sign up you can see the whole schedule and they were pretty booked with interviews every 30 mins. They didn't have any clinical questions, just a few behavioral Qs and then we chatted about unit preferences and such.

how do you guys feel about the new grad pay? It’s significantly lower than I anticipated.

Thanks for bringing this up! Pay is on the lower end of CA residencies and coupled with a 3 year commitment.. ??
