Yay! for education. Just had a parent call to tell me that his daughter had head lice for the second time this year "but we're not going to overreact this time because we learned that it is just a fact of life and nothing to panic about". I almost said "I love you":inlove:

YES!!!!! Steps, sometimes baby steps. But, steps in the right direction. I have used the article in Pediatric Nursing to help continue to get the message across. In case anyone missed it before, here is the link again. IT IS FANTASTIC!! https://www.pediatricnursing.net/ce/2016/article4005226235.pdf

I want to print it out and laminate it.

Me too. What I have also done, is type a cover note on it from me. I included the link and what the article is about. I made it a packet, included the front/title page and the some of the Tables that were in the article. I sent it to every one of my kids/families. To make sure it got home with the high school kids, they are all getting them in the envelopes with the 3rd qtr grade cards. Such exciting reading :)

Well, truth be told, I wanted to go after the aide who was standing over me like a hawk. Like I was gonna tell her anything anyway!!! I was tempted to put that part on the "C'mon Now" thread. Gee, give me a break.

Educate, Educate, Educate.

Should have dropped it in her hair! I so have wanted to do that when the teacher is standing over top, in the way, making sure I don't miss a single one, just a little flick and bam, teacher got cooties!
