Hi! I looked for a topic on students who applied for/ were accepted into LIU Brooklyn starting fall of 2020 and couldn't find anything. I applied about a month ago and I just wanted to start a thread so we can all chat about it!
wait this would be my first degree but im not a freshmen im a transfer, would I be able to appeal my tuition ? and yes I am stressed out too, I hope they understand that its their fault for not reaching out and explaining everything right when we got accepted, noone is helping me out, they keep ccing to other people and noone ends up helping out, I just hope im not the only one going through this
It is understandable, they are probably swamped with a lot of things. Hence why ---------------------- went out to reach out to the incoming students due to so much happening. I have e-mailed about it but I am going to call them tomorrow and check. I would like to have more aid if possible.
Hello, several posts have been edited: names/identifiers of Nursing program Staff removed, to comply with Terms of Service.
You may use the Private Conversation feature (click on Account in the upper right-hand corner of the page, and follow directions). Only caveat (to discourage spammers) is, you must have 15 substantial posts before that PC feature is enabled.
I hope you are able to find the answers to your program questions soon, I know it's nerve-wracking to wait and wait and not feel like you have access to the answers. We are rooting for you!
Highly recommend everyone to check out St.Josephs college in Brooklyn. Down the street from LIU, Their tuition prices are extremely low (they have lots of transfer scholarships) and it’s a more selective/well put together school. Don’t drown yourselves in debt for a BSN in nursing, especially if you wanna continue your education (DNP, MSN, etc)

@Liz0625 Did you get the fin aid report from LIU? I only got the confirmation of the application being processed from FAFSA.
@soolee I had no idea it was due this month. How come they haven’t contacted us yet. This is stressing me out now.
@Brxu Yes I’m a transfer student with a second degree
