Hi! I looked for a topic on students who applied for/ were accepted into LIU Brooklyn starting fall of 2020 and couldn't find anything. I applied about a month ago and I just wanted to start a thread so we can all chat about it!

yeah I got mine two days ago and I am stressed how are you guys going to pay? im from cuny so I havent ever gone thru this

Did you guys get any aid?

I got a scholarship and financial aid but this is my second degree so I am not receiving as much. I know for freshmen, you can tuition appeal for more aid so if that is the case for you all, that can work. I am checking up to see if I can get, LIU seems amazing from nurses that attended but the tuition is indeed high.

@Liz0625 How were you able to get your financial aid? I filed my FAFSA but no one has contacted me regarding my fin aid.

@parker57 I got my financial aid quickly to be honest, filed my FAFSA and got the report. Just so you know don't expect to receive any aid at all. Im an out of state student and the aid at this school absolutely sucks

@soolee Yeah I’m also coming from CUNY and never took out a loan. I’m not sure who to talk to RN. I didn’t get any emails regarding the tuition or fin aid yet. How did you guys get yours? I’m never stressed and confused.

Yes, ----------------- should had called as she had told me she was making rounds to get connected with the incoming nursing students

guys -------------------------- barely responds I swear

she called me like 2 weeks ago and said I could contact her and now when I do shes ghost

I didn't get a financial aid packet yet either, I checked and tuition is supposedly due July 31st and I am panicking

I assume most of you are all transfer students coming in for the second degree?

@Liz0625 @Brxu Thanks for the help. I’ll contact her tomorrow. Do you guys happen to have her email? I want to figure out the loan stuff and to see if I get approved before the semester starts.

also I heard out of state tuition is even higher or maybe thats just in cuny
