Good morning everybody!

It looks like Lichson's web (home page) is back again.. they are still working on it..

Fleajones, i applied for a day program...

trying to keep my spirit up.... but made some plans for the fall , in case I won't get in.

In the end, it is not the end of the world! (or is it, tomorrow:))

I read that one pastor challenged Harold Camping(the guy, who predicts the judgment day) to transfer his 83 millions to pastor's ministry the night before the Day....saying that he will use his money well, for his ministry.. because he will be here on Sunday...:)

Only God knows when it is time to wrap up the whole Thing... as to us.. I hope you, ma and others will get in, graduate and work before He comes:)

hey ladies...i made alternate plans aswell & trying to keep up my spirits...

i look at it like this...............there's alot of older ppl in our same predicament (trying to live there dreams/getting an education to become an rn)...i remember having a lady in my microbiology class spring 2010 (she was 46 yrs young)...she was such an inspiration to me...she was a go getter!!! she applied to lichson for fall 2010---and was accepted. if i don't make it this coming fall, i'm just gonna continue to take courses towards my bsn while i wait and try try again for fall 2012. i won't stay idle...i have to keep moving!!!

believe me if i (thought wise) keep putting my eggs all into lichson's basket and get rejected...i'll surely be 100x more devastated. moral of the story is...keep moving fwd...there are 50+ age ppl in our courses and where all trying to get to the same goal (don't give up). after all....the prof did say that they only have 80 seats open for day & 20 seats open for the night program.:anbd:

I just finished evening nursing program at LICH and I am very happy! There is a lot of problems in organization, but if your goal is to finish RN program, I think a goal fit for the purpose. Evening progam is more manageable than day program in terms of a workload. Most people still can work and study. The program is intense that is why I preffered evening group , at the end the outcome is the same=> completing the program, the same diploma as any other nursing school would give you... It is not only about money and time but also your health. A lot of stress, but that stress is not even close if you would go to other competitiv RN school. In some other schools they will screw you up over the top without regards and regrets about you. They will make your life like a hell, that is what I herd from other students from other RN programs. LICH is not perfect, but it is managable.

getting ready to start a new week and praying that I get a call for an interview!! I called on thur last week and that said that I should relax and that they have just started to make calls. Also that their having their graduation on june 2nd so a lot of the call backs have been put on hold. She said I should hear back by approx. The 2nd week of June. When I told her that I'm soo worried and can't even sleep she said that I should relax and get some sleep because I want to be alive by june! Lol

I applied to LiCHSON evening program. My interview is on Tues. I am very nervous! I really want to know where did everyone that is taking the evening course take their Micro? I took all of the prerequisites at St Francis but they never offered Micro at night! I'm soo scared that I get accepted and don't have Micro!!

LICH takes people with missing prerequsits with agreement that a person will get it done till graduation. Right now summer time is coming and some colleges offer Micro during the summer. You have to research CUNY system and do it asap. Also, consider CLEP program. Some people did that. LICH basically accepts students on individual bases. Some people are missing more than 1 prerequisit.

PS. for some reason LICH has less competition for evening group than for day program. However, not many colleges in the city can offer that option.

i'm taking micro this summer at medgar evers 6-10 pm. also they're offering it during both summer sessions.

Not to worry...u can take whatever pre-reqs during the summer...not w/ ur nursing courses during the reg semester...the ONLY pre-req I'm missing is ETHICS and I'm looking to knock that out during the summer. Best to get them done BEFORE, so ur full concentration base is on the nursing courses I took ALL my pre-reqs including MicroBio @ MEC aswell (during a reg semester)...the Prof I had was great...

I'm looking into Micro @ CUNY as we speak. I will try MEC, I see they have several seats available. Thanks for the help!
