Hi everyone,
I am a BSN graduate from the Philippines and I currently hold an RN license from New Mexico. I now live in California so I applied for my license through endorsement to CA. The Board of California requested documents such as Transcript of Records, Operating Room-Delivery Room Cases and a copy of my Passport and Visa. I submitted them all and I just got a letter from the board saying that after a complete evaluation, it has been determined that not all aspects of my theory and clinical training meets the minimum requirements in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Obstetric Nursing.
It also said that in order to meet this requirement, I need to go back to school to make up any deficiency, both theory and clinical practice.
It doesn't really make any sense though because I have friends who graduated from the Philippines and got their CA license without having to go back to school here. On top of that, I have two friends here who I went to the same school with and we belonged to the same batch as well and they all got their CA licenses easily. We practically went to the same class so I do not understand why they find my training deficient.
I actually scheduled a phone appointment with the licensing analyst who did my evaluation. I hope some of you can share your experience and advise me on this.
I really appreciate it.

hello there. please help me with this license by endorsement. i will be grateful. i am registered nurse in state of vermont. I do have my social security number and also a green card. But I am presently here in the Philippines now. Ma'am , i would like to apply licensure by endorsement there in California. I am confused because i want to apply via mailing application. I would like to ask if how can I pay the fees, if it is in a money draft form? It is because i would like to enclose it together with my application form -licensure by endorsement in a sealed envelope and mail it to your address in CA. Is it okay if i send the finger print card along with the application form with the 2x2 picture and the fees all in all in one envelope and send it via snail mail? Am i right ma'am? I will not include the verification of licensure because the state of Vermont will be the one to send directly to you the result? I have just contacted them for the verification of licensure and i dont know if they will send the result to CA board of nursing or they would still return it to me and i am the one who will send it to you along with the other requirements( like the fingerprint card, fees, application form,2x2 picture) i am really hoping maam for your response. I would be grateful to you. Thank you so much
The BON for Vermont has to send your results to CA.

On the Endorsement application, it says: "Submit the correct TOTAL FEE with your application, made payable to the Board of Registered Nursing by check or money order (U.S. currency). ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.... Please submit a check or money order in U.S. CURRENCY only. DO NOT SEND CASH." (source)

try to read some previous posts regarding endorsement of their license in california you might encounter the same problem many are facing right now be it for endorsement or application to sit for the exam because of the concurrency issue.

HI :) i am having the same issue with you. I have a vermont license and im currently staying in cali. i applied for my endorsement and they are really giving me a hard time. what really sucks is that after sending them the requirements they always say they havent recieved it yet. I dnt know what is the problem to think we are alrealdy licensed but in a different state though. How was your talk with the licensing analyst? hope everything was fine
