  1. Board of Registered Nursing - RN Programs
  2. Hi jgiovann, I am in the same situation. I already took and passed the NCLEX-RN and my initial state was New Mexico. I was applying for licensure through endorsement here in California and they are giving me the same reply (clinicals and theory not concurrent). Please let me know if you find an accredited school that requires the least number of classes to take. Thank you. email:[email protected]
  3. I am so glad I found this thread. I am in the same situation. I was applying for RN through endorsment and my initial state was New Mexico. I did read some threads saying an option would be taking a Master's degree as a solution. Can someone please elaborate on that. Will CA BRN give your license after obtaining your master's degree without having to re-take MEDSURG and OB classes?
  4. Hi everyone, I am a BSN graduate from the Philippines and I currently hold an RN license from New Mexico. I now live in California so I applied for my license through endorsement to CA. The Board of California requested documents such as Transcript of Records, Operating Room-Delivery Room Cases and a copy of my Passport and Visa. I submitted them all and I just got a letter from the board saying that after a complete evaluation, it has been determined that not all aspects of my theory and clinical training meets the minimum requirements in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Obstetric Nursing. It also said that in order to meet this requirement, I need to go back to school to make up any deficiency, both theory and clinical practice. It doesn't really make any sense though because I have friends who graduated from the Philippines and got their CA license without having to go back to school here. On top of that, I have two friends here who I went to the same school with and we belonged to the same batch as well and they all got their CA licenses easily. We practically went to the same class so I do not understand why they find my training deficient. I actually scheduled a phone appointment with the licensing analyst who did my evaluation. I hope some of you can share your experience and advise me on this. I really appreciate it.
