I checked the status of my license in Illinois IDFPR site. It says
State check-failed/rejected
FBI-failed/rejected
Etc. I know my background isn't clear because I got a misdemeanor DUI in 2012. I sent a letter explaining what happened along with official documents to continental. Does continental share those documents with the BON? Or do I need to resend it to IDFPR? They let me sit for the NCLEX. I'm just wondering why it's taking so long and if it's more I need to do. They haven't sent me a letter or gave me a reason why it was rejected. Anyone else experienced this?
Hello,
I am going through the same thing. I am lost on where to get the documents. They told me to mailed them but also to upload the documents. I would like to know if it's stamped and sealed shouldn't it be just mailed? I called IDFPR to verify but they told me to wait another 5-7 days for a response. Any information will be appreciated. Thank you all.

Hi, I took a pic of my documents and uploaded them, then sent them via mail. However the process was taking too long so I made the long drive to Springfield since I needed to start working asap, and they posted my license that same day after I explained to them what was going on. If you wait on them to call you, it will take forever.
Dion84,
this same thing is happening to me. I had no idea, continental never flagged me and neither did Pearson Vue. I had to contact the IDFPR and see that my background check was rejected. Someone over the phone told me to send in and upload and email the BON my original disposition and letter of explanation so I did that but they said they don’t meet until September to make the decision on this. Do you happen to have the info where you faxed into?
Same thing happened to me today and I'm shook! I called and they said "something flagged it" they can't tell me what though. They said it was sent to the chicago office for further review. THey told me it can take 12 weeks and if I have questions my only recourse is to write a letter and mail it to chicago.

Do not believe Continental LOL. They do not forward your letter explaining or the documents you send them. Everyone with something on their background goes through this. As long as you sent them everything they need you will get your license. It is frustrating having to wait so long. Looks like we may both be in Chicago and probably attended the same school.
Where did you get a fax number. I cant find one anywhere??
