i was just wondering if anyone has got there rn license transfer to georgia, by endorsement, recently.
how long did they take to issue you a license?
on the application it states 15 business day but i called gabon, and they said, 15 days to process and up to an 30 additional days to get license issued. i was hoping it wouldn't take this long and that there are people out there who had shorter wait times.
I call the first thing this morning, and was told that the only review that was done was on my work history, that they couldn't found the other pages. I started to cried. I had everything even with my fee ( which was posted) sent BY FED-EX. Then was told to give it to the end of the week. Around noon they email saying my appication was outdated and they needed a new one. I call and was told that I had a old version that the application was updated in march 2009. I had download the one from there web site!!!!!!!!!! I SENT MY APLLICATION IN JUNE!!!!!!!!I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!
Well...yesterday was my "25th day," and still no license. I called the GA BON and the woman said that 25 days was the "standard processing time, but it could take longer". When I asked her about how much longer, she stated maybe 30 days. She took my phone number and said that someone would contact me with an update on my status in 24-48 hrs. I have 2 facilities (full time and PRN) waiting on my license so I can start working. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Hopefully, I will have my license by the end of next week.
The updated forms are on the web site now. You have to have 500 hours or four months experience preceding your application date to apply for endorsement. And for the ORI and OAC numbers click on the board web site under registering for criminal background checks and the numbers are there. I hope this help.

I made a call to the GA-BON regarding 500 hrs or 3 months experience preceding the application, and I was informed that the newly licensed is exempted from that req. So, the applicant just have to indicate on that section of the application form, "newly licensed".
Yes, I got already the ORI and OAC numbers. Thanks
