  1. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Sometimes we just need a reminder.....
  2. I live in the Metro Atlanta area.
  3. I'm in Georgia. Not enrolled yet, waiting on my transcript but hope to start July 1st.
  4. Have you tried any of the RN residency programs? These are geared toward new grad nurses.
  5. I completed my readiness assessment last week, and my enrollment counselor did not mention that I was not required to take it since I was a licensed RN......
  6. Hi keepmovinglpn - I signed up for Saturday clinicals too! I was thinking that maybe the we could form a study group with the students on this site. Let me know what you think. I too thought that exchanging numbers/emails was a good idea. Maybe we can do it on our own. I did not sign up for any of the boot camp sessions either, but would love to hear from anyone that plans to attend. Not much longer now......
  7. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but during orientation I thought we were told that class would be on Tuesdays from 9-4 and clinicals would be either Wednesday or Saturday from 7a-7p. We even noted our preference on the sign in sheet. Has this changed?
  8. Thanks for the heads up!! Hope things are going well for you!
  9. I think I'm going to order the "highly recommended" Test Success- Test-taking Techniques for Beginning Nursing Students. I'm still debating on the other suggested books. I have an older edition of Tabers Medical Dictionary, so I probably won't order that one. I wanted to download the Davis' Drug Guide for Nurses to my phone, but the iphone app is $49.99 and I can get the book on Amazon for $29. Still debating on the others; I wonder if previous editions would suffice? What do you think? Has anyone purchased any books yet?
  10. I'm not sure if the Flu shot is optional or not - it is a requirement at my job, so I will have to get it; I would think that it might be at the clinical sites, but you never know. Has anyone ordered their uniforms yet?
  11. I'm not sure, but I do believe it will be at the Newton Campus.
  12. Congrats WalterAm! I got mine acceptance today too!!!
  13. I haven't heard anything yet either! I was hoping that they would make a decision before Sept 30th. My interview was about the same as everyone else's. Keepmovinlpn, my TEAS score was proficient also, but hopefully that won't be the deciding factor for the selection. Good luck to all!!!
  14. I do not know a lot about the program other than what is listed on the GPC website. I actually heard about the bridge program from one of my patients. I originally applied for the regular nursing program and was accepted, but asked for consideration for another term because I would not have completed all of the pre-reqs before the start of the semester. I wish I did know someone currently in the program - would love to hear some feedback on how it is going.
