License by Endorsement in GA, How long did it take?

i was just wondering if anyone has got there rn license transfer to georgia, by endorsement, recently.

how long did they take to issue you a license?

on the application it states 15 business day but i called gabon, and they said, 15 days to process and up to an 30 additional days to get license issued.:uhoh3: i was hoping it wouldn't take this long and that there are people out there who had shorter wait times.

Who was your "application specialist" is. I'm being flat out denied.

So what u do now? Did they give an explantion or somethng like do this then we will approve ur app? Wish u all the best of luck

I did not get the name who answered my phone call.

BTW, when did you pass the NCLEX-RN? How long since you passed the NCLEX and filed/applied for endorsement in GA-BON?

Thanks. I've applied to the VA and I've applied to the North Carolina BON. I was told by Georgia that I could endorse with 1800 hours of RN experience...or do that preceptorship. I really don't expect Georgia to do anything more with my application.

I passed the NCLEX the June 29th. I had my application in the mail to Georgia within a day or two.

I just dont get it? Someone said if ur newly licensed to just put that on the app...now ur tellg me they denied u lack of hours...i hope mine dont happen like that i've been in GA for 5 yrs now just going to try again for my LPN ( which i went to school in NY). Wow this is crazy...i guess i can apply for alabama since its a hour away again hope the best for the other two states that they will work out..

GABON, they have different requirements for LPN & RN. I just go my RN last month, was a new qrad and they didn't required clinical/work hours,ONLY if you are a new grad. BUT, I got my license through SC first then I applied for endorsement through GA.

When I got I finished with LPN school, back in 2006, I applied through GABON to take my license there because I was planning on moving to GA from SC. They denied me because my school clinical hours didn't match up with theirs. Soooo what I had to do to get around it is first take the nclex-pn through the state of SC, then after I passed, applied for endorsement throught GA and they accepted it and got my license throught GA.

So if your are a new grad coming form any other states its best to apply through your home state first, then endorse through GA because if not you would have a hard time getting a license with them.

I am a foriegn nurse and i had been asked to undergo CFNS CES once again even though i have my CGFNS,NCLEX with VisaScreen done. All the above said does the same process.

I was informed after 30th business day.

If GA BON requires RN experience before endorsement, I find that number of hours way too much from the cited requirement in their downloadable form, # 16 item (employment history)

I remember you were the one who advised me to call the GA BON to inquire about RN work experience before applying for endorsement because you were approved without the said requirement. That's on the other thread/forum I made. I did call the GA BON and I was told that I will just indicate on my application form "newly licensed".

:yeah: Mine took a little over 3 weeks. LPN endorsement from another US state. The paperwork is a bit much, but you can't miss anything or it could delay it. Thank you GBON.

Could you please let me know how you handle that "documentation to determine qualified alien status.'? I am having non-immigrant visa.So I am afraid they won't endorse my lisence because of that. Please let me know. Thank you very much.
