Letters of Acceptance to Golden West College?

Published

Hi there...anyone receive their letters to take the TEAS V for Golden West College for Fall 2011? Thought I would start a thread for those of us who did and may have questions for each other.

Read this, i printed it last year when i was trying to apply to GWC.

Hi there, Did you withdraw on your own or did they force you to since you were pregnant? Just curious...

I'm really hoping for a Spring letter! I took Anatomy at GWC Spring 2007 and it is going to expire! It's been such a long wait. I know there are a few of you out there with similar situations. I've been applying and waiting for over 3 years. I Completed all my prerequisites at GWC and have taken every other class required in order to graduate. I can't wait to open that Spring letter informing me that I finally made it. I couldn't be more ready. Anybody in the same boat?

This is my first time applying for GWC, but I am still staying optimistic of my chances of getting in. I still haven't received a letter from GWC.. :crying2:

Hmmmm, in order to start volunteering with the Clinical Care Extender program we all had to get BLS certified for Healthcare Providers. I did my class here: http://www.pro-cpr.com/

I think it cost about $20, the class was FULL, so definitely make an appointment ahead of time and be on time if you want to actually have a seat. Those have to stay current, so you'll be renewing it every other year. It is American Heart Association certified, but I don't know about the "Level C" part. That place was recommended to us by the Clinical Care Extender program, so that is why I chose it. Hope this helps!

Golden West College Nursing Program may provide a CPR class for new students. It may be worth inquiring about. I know they provided one in 2002 when I was a student.

Great link for TEAS Test help. It is worth reading ALL of the 1000+ posts!: Google: "Teas Study Skills Sticky". You will end up on a thread in ALLNURSES.COM.

Has anyone heard from GWC recently?!

I still haven't recieved any letters! It's driving me nuts. It sounds like they sent out all the rejection letters a while ago.Don't want to get my hopes up, but I hope that means I will be getting a Spring acceptance?

Still nothing? I have never experienced anything like this. I think I'm starting to get some sort of adrenaline rush waiting to hear. Kinda like having to laugh to keep from crying I suppose. Gotta love a good defense mechanism :lol2:
