Gallstones that are made of cholesterol can be treated with ursodiol (brand name Actigall) in patients who are poor surgical risks. Also given to prevent gallstones in obese patients who have weight loss surgery because rapid weight loss can cause stones.

Arimidex has replaced Tamoxifen for E2 positive breast cancer. Herceptin for Her2 positive breast cancer.

Zofran IV during general anesthetic to prevent post-op emesis.

Fluvoxamine (Luvox) and clomipramine (anafranil) drugs that are effective in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) I learned from my review center Gapuz;-) reviewing for the upcoming exam. Need more update for psychiatric drugs:-)

Parkinson's DOC is levodopa and avoid taking with orange juice because it decreases the drugs absorption;-) done reviewing my psyhiatric nursing a part of.

Correction with levodopa instead of orange juice, it's whole grain and cereals that contains vit. B6 may reverse the effects of the drug and to compensate for my mistakes I will add up Tofranil TCA anti-depressant drugs that can cause palpitation in elderly ECG must be on bedside and any acidic medium decreases absorption of the drugs adverse effects are decrease libido, impotence(NC:inform both couples) and photo sensitivity(HT: use lotion with SPF of 25% or more)..pasensya na po, thanks;-)
