hi everyone! i'm holli. i took boards on june 13th and passed with 75 questions. i am starting work on july 18th at the only hospital i ever wanted to work for. it is a great pediatric facility! i will be on the (post-op) surgical floor, and we also have all of the endocrine kids. also, they just added an epilepsy monitoring unit, for overnight monitoring and for the brain mapping they are doing. i expressed an interest in that, so they will cross-train me in that unit as well. i can't wait to get started!
so, tell me about you...
holli, rn

Hello everyone.I graduated in May of this year. I just started working on the Med/Surg unit, 3 12's a week. This is the end of my 2'nd week and I never knew a person's feet, legs, knees, and back could hurt so much. I take my NCLEX on July 31. I get sick every time I think about them. Any help as to how to study would be great. Best of luck to all the new grads.
Hi everyone!! I recently took the NCLEX-RN in June and passed!! I have been working at a local community hospital for the past month. I decided to start my career on the Med Surg floor to build up my skills. Nursing is a completely new field for me. I used to work as a secretary until I decided I really wanted to help people and make a difference.
Hi! I just graduated with my BSN degree this past May, started working as a graduate nurse on a small pediatric unit the first part of June, and passed NCLEX on July 2nd (with 265 question, for crying out loud)! I have had NO previous experience in health care whatsoever, even during nursing school (except for clinical, but those provided very little experience for me personally). So, everything I've experienced at work this past month has been exciting and overwhelming at the same time!
Hello!
Im Mahmud, I'm in my last quarter of LPN school at NMTC. I've been reading through these forums for the past year and a half and decided to be apart of the family today. *hopefully* =)
P.S.
A lot of the post that i've been reading have gotten me through anxiety and fear of becomming a nurse. No regrets and im excited.
Thank you everyone!
Hello. My name is Stephanie. I just graduated in May and passed the boards in June. I work on an Intermediate Care Floor/Telemetry unit. I really enjoy it and cannot believe I am actually done with school and passed boards! Working on the unit has been great but I have so much more to learn! :smiletea2::balloons:
Hi, I'm Jenni, graduated from an ADN program in May and passed my boards with 75 questions on June 19! Nursing is much different than my first degree - I also have a BA in Graphic Design. I'm sure that I will love this new profession. I am starting in a Mother-Baby Fellowship on August 6th and am so excited! I'm also relocating from DC to Atlanta this weekend so... there's so many new changes happening in my life! I hope to meet new grads here so that we can bond together and get through this first year together.
Congrats to everyone and good luck!:balloons:

Hi Holly- I'm Jenny. I passed the NCLEX on June 26th and started my first week as an RN last week! I feel kind of lucky that I'm starting as a new grad RN with a group of 50 other new grads, but it still feels scary. So far I've been doing so much classroom stuff that I still feel like I'm in nursing school, but I know it's for the best. I'm very excited to start out on the cardiac unit and I wish everyone the best of luck on their units as well! :balloons:
