Lehman College Nursing program 2013

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi everyone,

I recently applied to lehman's nursing program for admittance into the Fall 2013 semester. Is there anyone who is already in the program, that can let me know what kind of scores on the HESI and gpas were accepted? I have a 3.9 GPA but I only got an 86 overrall on the HESI exam, so I am really nervous. I hope I get in, it's all I've ever wanted to be. Thanks for whoever replies to this.

Spoke to professor Tesoro on Thursday and said she was working on our syllabus. She mentioned she was going to send out a summer self-assessment task to get us prepared with our math skills. I recommend checking your Lehman email to make sure you get this.

?????

Thanks for the update!

Like many stated, it does not matter where you graduate from, whether it be NYU or any other ivy league school. This economy sucks! In fact, i met a girl who just graduated from NYU who could only get a job at a nursing home where i was doing my first yr clinical rotation! What matters is what internships you get and who you know. Then again, you get what you pay for at Lehman and not everyone will be nice.

Lol. Thanks for your input! Are you a lehman student or grad?

Does anyone know when advisor hours end today?

Hey! I went today to get my packet and permission. I arrived around 8:45 am and left around 1. It took so long because we had to wait for advisors to arrive, in order to get permission. I believe permission for new nursing students ends when the office closes, or when the advisor decides to leave. I was told faculty was given the option to come to work early and leave early, or come to work late and leave late. I got all my classes. The accelerated have classes set aside for them, so even though you didn't go, you will be fine! Good luck!!!

Hello,

I spoke to both the CRNA admissions at both Columbia & Albany Med. they both said my nursing experience will count more than where I get my BSN from. So, Lehman it is!!!

Besides after waiting in line all day yesterday, I feel like I've already,"paid for" the NYU difference.

Has anyone in the accelerated program have problems registering for NUR 330? I was able to register for the other 3 classes with no problem, but for NUR 330, it says I can't because requisites have not been met. I'm going to call tomorrow, but just wanted to see if anyone else had any problems.

I got in fine, but I have had that problem in the past at Lehman. They may not have posted all of your transfer credits in CUNY first yet. Transfer admissions fixed it for me.

It is curious that it only happened for 1 class.

Hey!!! They focus more on GPA and your science classes grade than the hesi!! I got into the fall 2013 nursing program with a GPA of 3.7 with a score of 80. And I amd really cool with the receptionist at the nursing department and they told me!!

Hey are we able to use a calculator for the dosage test? how many questions is it?

I am interested in possibly attending Lehman ABSN program in the future and wanted to know what the GPA (both previous degree and prereq) as well as test scores were for those that have been accepted. I emailed someone from the school and I was informed that they primarily look at GPA and test scores? My previous degree GPA was 3.2 from Brooklyn College but I plan to resume taking pre req classes again next spring (I stopped as I was unsure to do ABSN or get a masters degree). Thanks!
