Spoke to professor Tesoro on Thursday and said she was working on our syllabus. She mentioned she was going to send out a summer self-assessment task to get us prepared with our math skills. I recommend checking your Lehman email to make sure you get this. ?????

I'm dropping off my confirmation paperwork tomorrow. Ill ask and let you guys know what the deal is.

My GPA for the prerequisites was a 3.8 and my HESI score was 87. Have a bachelors degree in history with a GPA of 3.3

I agree with samist. Once you understand the mechanisms you actually start enjoying the course. You being to feel like a scientist in a lab.

Hey bubbly26 I took ochem last semester and maaaaaan did I have to study. You're gonna have to stay on top of the material. It builds on itself. Make sure you understand the foundations if not you will get lost. I bought 'organic chemistry demystified' it helped out a lot. Simpler language. I watched YouTube videos over and over and over again. Khan academy was one of the YouTube tutors I used. It also helps out if you get a molecular model set. It will help you understand spatial arrangements of organic compounds. Lastly, make sure you practice your textbook problems. It was one of the first things our professor told us. Paper and pencil should always be on hand. Good luck!

@talinda I too only applied to Lehman. I'm getting super nervous as June approaches!

Hey! I also applied to their fall 2013 program! I heard they focus more on the science courses and your GPA and not too much on the HESI exam. Hopefully we get in!

I'm taking the HESI tomorrow and I cannot stop worrying!!! Mine is in A&P, reading comprehension, critical thinking and math. Math is probably my worst subject. Should I be this freaked out? How was math?
