Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

If you have any questions or want to come together for this semester let me know. I feel the semester could be smooth to tackle if we all support each other.

Hey! (And to any/everyone else on the thread), I know I saw some discussion on this but I was confused. Do we ask our doctors to fill out the eight page document labeled as "Annual Health Clearance Record?"or do we have them print the records they already have on file? This was unclear to me.

I took the whole thing to my doc. Did the urine and blood tests today and I have to go back next week so he can fill everything out with the results. There are some pages that we fill on our own.

I did mine already. Please, read each item carefully. The document provides contradicting information about the . On the very first page it says only RN-BSN and Master's students need to purchase it, but in the check-off section one of the items deals with the liability insurance with words "RN-BSN and nursing students", so I have no idea if we should or should not buy it. I will be going to the nursing department on Monday to deliver the docs so I will ask again.

Someone already said that the generic and accelerated students aren't supposed to buy . We are covered by the school.

Hey guys. I know there has been some debate about when all our paperwork/ items are due because of the two different deadlines on the orientation packet. Has anyone spoken to someone in the department regarding when it needs to be in? I assume it's two weeks before the start of classes , but I'm paranoid it's actually during orientation lol

I believe we have until August 5th.

I also read in the packet that all the paperwork must be turned in on or before the orientation. I may be reading it wrong, but that is how I understood it. I will be going to Lehman sometimes next week.

Exactly! Somewhere else in the packet it says two weeks before the start of classes. So I have no idea. Trying to finish it up in time for orientation just in case.

a 20$ fee?! I didn't have to do that...thats strange. I am still having issues and I can't get in touch with anyone. They reactivated my account but now when I try to enroll for the course it is saying I dont have the proper prerequisites, which obviously we all do since we are 2nd degree.

Let me know if you are able to enroll

Oh wow! I just saw this. I was able to enroll. I didn't come across this issue. You might have to check if all your transfer credits went through. When I first got into Lehman to complete my science prereqs, I did a lot of running around to get certain courses from my first degree to count for different requirements from Lehman.
