Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

How are you calculating the science GPA's? There are different gpa calculators that use different numbers. So which one is used? If anyone knows of one that Lehman uses, would it be the one used on degree works? I have a friend that stated to calculate my science gpa through there.

The GPA you see on degreeworks includes HIN 268. You can use the last page of the Lehman nursing application to calculate your science GPA.

Degree works has a section to calculate your gpa with inputting you grades and credits. But I'll look at the application as well. Thanks

From what I belive degree works has a section where there is a gpa calculator. But I'll look into the application. Thanks again

Will any of you be taking HIN 269 this summer?

I took it already during spring semester. Wasn't too bad. But whatever you do, I do not recommend Claudette Gordon. She knows her stuff but you will get frustrated with not getting any responses and always being delayed.

Accepted

Generic

Science GPA: 3.8

Hesi score w/ critical thinking: Overall - 92.67% CT - 930

Cumulative gpa: Not sure b/c I'm 2nd degree

What are you stats separately?

Is anyone taking HIN269 with Prof.Maldonando online? I've been checking blackboard and nothing has been posted yet.

I heard that professor is delayed and a lot of complaints about her. Regardless of who you take just be patient and make sure you know your stuff when you answer discussion board questions. Otherwise they won't credit you and if you don't post on time she will give you a zero for that DB.

I guess I misunderstood you. I'm not too sure about the Degreeworks calculator. But I do know that the section on the last page of the application is what the office uses to calculate your gpa. And no problem. :)

Thanks for sharing , greatly appreciated.

I thought they will consider the overall score not each individual session... I have great GPA, but one of my HESI session was 68, the rest were in the 80s. I am so anxious, part of me is hopeful though. Thanks again...as of today, we have 3 more weeks to find out.. IN or OUT

Paanda,

Dr. Maldonado has posted on blackboard since Sunday, please check blackboard because the first discussion is due tonight 6/6 at 11:59 p.m
