I was not aware of this! I thought it was strictly science GPA and HESI. Where did you learn this?

I have been thinking the same thing. I am hoping that they are considering how to move the program to a hybrid mixture of online platforms and staggered times for lab sessions to avoid large groups. The college itself needed to transition to virtual learning pretty quickly. I hope the nursing program is able to make the same transition! I 'll give them a call today.
Any news?

Yep it’s true, they do factor it in. I asked Donna the pre nursing advisor last month. It’s funny because I got an A- and it dropped my GPA down one point ?

HI, Julia, Hin268 is not the factor for getting to the program but it should be better than C grade. I do not want to argure with anybody who thinks it is . If u doubt it, u should email to Ms Alison Akin who is advisor for undergraduate nursing. When I visited her in January. She actually wrote my science grades and calculated on the nursing application paper. She did not include Hin268. She wrote my gia on the nursing application. First, science GPA and the HESI score ,especailly CT and A&P when the candidates have same GPA. I met Ms Donna three times and I felt she did not know exactly. That was why I met her three time. I may be wrong but if u read lehman nursing web. HIN 268 is not the factor for GPA calculations.

I don’t think anyone would argue with you since we were all told different information or none at all LOL? That’s been a reoccurring thing throughout this process.
Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone thinks I have a good chance of getting in the program, here are my stats:
GPA: 4.0
HESI: 89%
Reading: 88
Math: 96
A&P: 84
CT: 820
Also, the president of Lehman emailed everyone stating that if we wish to change our letter grade to credit/no credit option we can do that and it won’t affect our GPA for this semester due to COVID-19. Are people who are applying to the nursing program allowed to do this?

Yes I believe as long as the class is taken this semester this is an option. In the email sent earlier in the semester this was specifically stated.
You have great statistics ... Congratulations!! are you going generic or accelerated?
your chances are all dependent on the grades of your fellow competitors. Good Luck ????

Thank you!
I’m applying for generic, however I think my GPA may drop this semester ? I’m taking an HIN class online, and I’m also taking Organic Chemistry with Professor Ravi. These classes are pretty tough and my GPA may drop to a 3.8. Also are you considering taking the credit option instead of a letter grade?

If I need to I will, or would, but I completed all my pre-requisites last semester. I honestly believe you should be okay witH your current statistics. This semester seems like it will be forgiven as long as you can pass because of how hard COVID-19 effected our community.

hello! I have a question,
does the nursing department factor in the HIN 268 and HIN 269 courses in your GPA or is it just the science courses that they look at?
