Im going to be applying to Lehman's Generic BSN program for fall 2017 and I was wondering what my chances of getting accepted are. So far I have a 3.73 pre req gpa and in the process of taking microbiology and organic chemistry lab and lecture. I hope to get it to a 3.8 if I get A's for these 3 classes. As for my Hesi score, I got a 92 overall, 92 for Reading Comprehension, 94 for Math, 92 for A&P and 90 for Critical Thinking. If anyone who has previously been accepted could share their stats with me that would be great! Also, if you're applying for generic Fall 2017 as well you're welcome to share them too so we can see how competitive this year is! I've heard 3.5 is the cut off but I'm sure it depends on the year. Thanks everyone!
What week was your orientation?I am trying to make summer plans but I need an idea of what week(s) I should block off.
Our orientation was July 17 and 18 last year. Just a word of warning: be careful about booking vacations while in the accelerated program. They will schedule clinical orientations during breaks and on your days off, and they are mandatory.
Hi,Ive read many posts/comments that say if you have good GPA and HESI you have a high chance of being accepted into Lehman (My GPA is 3.8 and HESI 92). I am a bit confused though because it seems that only about 30 or so students are accepted into accelerated and generic. I am sure they get hundreds of applications each cycle. Does a high GPA and HESI score really mean you get accepted? Are there any other stats that they consider??
Based on the posts I see on this site many people who apply do not actually meet the high GPA and minimum HESI requirements. I feel like I am constantly reading post from people who got below a 800 on critical thinking but are hoping they're able to gain admittance anyway.
Any one accepted with a 3.57 science GPA? To lehman im finishing up my first degree and want to do the accelerated/generic program for fall 2019.
I got a B in AP2
A in AP1
CHEM114/115 B and B-
Aiming for A's in Micro and chem120/121
And to score high on the HESI, im already studying
This summer i completed 4 classes on top of AP2 receiving a A and a 3.9 gpa cumulative i would hope my determination and record will help, im a little nervous about applying next year
THANK YOU
