I am applying to Lehman College's nursing program for this upcoming August and was wondering what my chances were. I just took my HESI exam and did pretty terribly on the Critical Thinking section (780). The other portions, I did fairly well. Math (98%), Reading (88%), and Anatomy (88%). My pre-req GPA is a 3.74. My overall GPA is close to a 3.5. I was wondering what my chances were with the 2 year program. One of the faculty told me that the critical thinking score was pretty low, but I should apply anyway. Do I have any shot at getting in? Thanks.
Hey All! I've been silently reading this thread for ages and was getting nervous because I hadn't heard anything. I applied to both the accelerated and generic programs and was accepted to the generic program this morning.
My stats were the following:
- Science GPA 3.75
- Cumulative GPA 3.4
- HESI - 92
- Critical Thinking - 880
I look forward to meeting all my new classmates!
I got accepted into generic program this morning. I was hoping accelerated but I knew it would be difficult since most candidates probably had 4.0. In any event, I may be deferring my application until next year for personal reasons but for all those still waiting for decisions it looks like they are still going out. Good luck to everyone
I called on Monday, and the lady said until the end of the month. If I don't get a letter by Friday, it probably means I'm rejected. I know there are those who received their invitation in July last year, but there's the problem with my critical thinking score. No one who has been accepted has a score lower than 800.

Hey all, don't mean to hijack your post but for those of you who would like to know more about the Accelerated Program (, please see the link below.
Congratulations to those who have gotten in this far. Everyone else sit tight. I know it all depends on the applicant pool but I got in last yr with just shy of a 3.7 and a HESI overall of 94.
