I am applying to Lehman College's nursing program for this upcoming August and was wondering what my chances were. I just took my HESI exam and did pretty terribly on the Critical Thinking section (780). The other portions, I did fairly well. Math (98%), Reading (88%), and Anatomy (88%). My pre-req GPA is a 3.74. My overall GPA is close to a 3.5. I was wondering what my chances were with the 2 year program. One of the faculty told me that the critical thinking score was pretty low, but I should apply anyway. Do I have any shot at getting in? Thanks.
The school will cover us for Liability Insurance. I was told after I purchased a policy.....but I got my money back haha.
Seriously? In the checklist it states to purchase Liability Insurance, and lists where to purchase it.
The school purchased the insurance for us last year so we didn't have to go on our way to get it. You can go to the department or wait till orientation to clarify. Almost 95% of questions are clarified at orientation including shoes (no sneakers allowed btw), uniforms, conflicting clinical orientation days, dosage calculation, courses,etc..
How hard (or easy) is the dosage exam?
Has anyone confirmed if we are to buy malpractice insurance or if the school provides?

I thought it was pretty easy. Depends on your math skills really. I don't think there was anything to trick you.
Perfect that they scheduled your orientation when we have exams. No one's in the mood to talk then

How did you know your orientation day for clinicals? Mine is on Fridays and I don't have a class on Thursdays. I haven't received any email yet. Also, do you have any information on Liability Insurance? Thanks.
