Lehman college 2016 admittance

Published

I am applying to Lehman College's nursing program for this upcoming August and was wondering what my chances were. I just took my HESI exam and did pretty terribly on the Critical Thinking section (780). The other portions, I did fairly well. Math (98%), Reading (88%), and Anatomy (88%). My pre-req GPA is a 3.74. My overall GPA is close to a 3.5. I was wondering what my chances were with the 2 year program. One of the faculty told me that the critical thinking score was pretty low, but I should apply anyway. Do I have any shot at getting in? Thanks.

Resgistration for the 2017 HESI exam starts from November 1st - december 31st. The exam will be from January to March 2016. You can go to the nursing department website and follow the instructions on registration.

I'm applying this year to the nursing program, I got a 770 on the critical thinking and an 85 on the hesi, 3.6 pre req, what are my chances?

I'd say your chances are good but I don't know the stats and cut off gpa from 2016 applicants to know for sure. When I applied in 2015, anyone that passed the HESI with gpa above 3.6 got in, the cut off that year was 3.5-3.6.

That's what I was told as well but now I heard that there are being very picky with the critical thinking score that the cut off is 800, I was only 30 points off and the nursing department aren't very kind and extremely picky so I'm Kinda worried.

Definitely try to retake the exam Genesisyamilex.

I didn't get in last year with a 3.7 GPA, 91 Hesi, and a 780 CT. They emailed me a rejection notice citing I needed an 800 on the CT.

Did you try again to get in?

@Shibaz95

I forgot this was my thread haha. Yeah I reapplied. Got a 95 on the Hesi, 860 on CT, and with my 3.74 GPA, I think I have a good shot.

I had a 780 on the CT first time too.

Great I reapplied too got a 96 on the Hesi, 880 on the CT and 3.7 gpa.

Hopefully we make it!

Yeah I hope so too.

If you don't get in it is not the end of the world. The universe might actually be doing you a favor. The professor's attitude towards students is ridiculous and beyond unprofessional. Nursing is hard, learning all you need to know but having professors that don't teach and expect you to know everything is not worth it. Anyways goodluck!

Can somebody email me a picture of the lehman logo on your uniform please?
