I am applying to Lehman College's nursing program for this upcoming August and was wondering what my chances were. I just took my HESI exam and did pretty terribly on the Critical Thinking section (780). The other portions, I did fairly well. Math (98%), Reading (88%), and Anatomy (88%). My pre-req GPA is a 3.74. My overall GPA is close to a 3.5. I was wondering what my chances were with the 2 year program. One of the faculty told me that the critical thinking score was pretty low, but I should apply anyway. Do I have any shot at getting in? Thanks.
I got placed at North Central Bronx Hospital. My clinical orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30th even though I have classes on that day.
Clarify with the office aide during orientation. She'll take the time to announce what everyone should do in terms of where to report and scheduling conflicts.
@smiley581,it sucke but maybe its for the brst workload wise. Does anyone know if we will have a clinical before our clinical orientation or doee the clinical orientation count as the first day of our clinicals? For instance my orientation is on aug 26. The first day of school is the 25th and I have Thursday clinicals.

Unless your clinical professor says otherwise, you'd most likely attend both days. The Thursday will probably on campus. Always assume the worst unfortunately, until you're out of the door
