Lcc roll call applying for 2014

Hello! I will be applying for the traditional nursing program after this fall. wondering if anyone else out there is applying and what your story is?? I have a few more classes to take this fall, then i will be applying! so nervous !! Please add any info/comments :)

i got in also! i had 152 - im disappointed that whether getting into fall or spring was random - bc i received a spring spot and would've like a fall spot. hopefully i will be able to switch seats with someone!

But im sooooooo happy i got accepted regardless!!!

When you go to orientation, they'll give you a form to complete where you can request to move into the Fall cohort. I was originally placed in the 3 Year program and was able to move into the Fall 2 Year track that way. No worries :)

Just found out I got accepted into the 2 year starting in the fall!!! However, I'm still waiting to find out if I got into the accelerated program. Heard I won't find out until July. So for those of you on the alternate list, hopefully I get into the accelerated track because that's one more opening for you!!!!

Does anyone know of someone in the 2 year program that has worked while going through it? All i have heard from anyone is that it is impossible to work while in the program.

There are several students in my class who work full time while in the program. I will say, it is hard for them to schedule because our program schedule changes constantly. Especially when it comes to skills lab (hours fluctuate when you get to 2nd level)

I would say 2/3rds of our class works and about 1/3rd of them work full time.

great. thank you. i have heard many people tell me it's "impossible"...but it was hard for me to believe that no one in the program worked....

That's what I'm worried about with the program.... I don't know how I'm going to work. I work a day job now that I will have to leave when school starts. What kind of jobs do people have in the program ? I have a contigent position at a long term care facility I just don't know how many hours I can commit a week.

a lot of people i know in the program work per diem at a facility as a CNA.

Most of them work per diem at the hospital or LTC/subacute rehab.

Where did you hear it would be July until we find out about the accelerated program? The letter they sent me confirming my application just said sometime in June. I'm sure we both hope it is sooner rather than later! Good luck to you!

I heard July from previous years, actually I think I read it on an old thread on this website. It was either last year or the year before, they found out in mid-July I think. So I just assumed it would be the same this year. But hopefully it's sooner! How many points did you have for the accelerated program?
